Mr Thomas Keller CEO of Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile said that China's commitment to urbanization and industrialization should give the global copper market a healthy boost in the coming years.

Mr Keller said that there's sound and solid interest from customers in China for next year amid signs of an economic recovery in the world's biggest market for the metal. Copper consumption will increase significantly in any urbanization effort.

He said that although China's economic growth will likely register a single digit going forward there's still a lot of tonnage adding to the demand globally.
